We believe an important step in solving the plastics crisis is to better understand where, when, and why SUPs are relied on.
Help us out! When you see or use a SUP somewhere on campus or in town, snap a picture and upload it to this Google Form – we may even post the image to our website or social media to help shape our collective understanding of SUPs in our community.
Examples of SUPs could be:
- Plastic cutlery, to-go containers, or cups that will end up being thrown away after very few uses
- Plastic toys, gifts or prizes at events that will likely end up in a landfill or as litter
- Plastic packaging from grocery stores, clothing shops and other businesses that will be disposed of once opened
- Any plastic item that will be used briefly and ultimately enter the waste stream after a short amount of time
